Neustanlo Ceramic Honing Rod

Important to understand before you buy this: a honing rod doesn't sharpen, it just realigns the edge. That's a distinction a lot of beginners mix up. If your knife is fundamentally sharp but "feels dull" after a few days of kitchen use, a few passes on the honing rod is often all it needs, not a trip back to the stone.

The Neustanlo is solid ceramic all the way through, not just coated. That means it doesn't lose effectiveness the way some coated rods do once the coating wears down. At 37 cm it's long enough for bigger chef's knives too.

Good for: daily or weekly maintenance between real sharpening sessions on the stone, not a replacement for one.
